The easiest way,i think, to do a good messy bun is this:

Put your hair into a ponytail, and on the last twist you can get with your hair elastic, fold your hair in half and tuck the bottom under. Pull out random pieces of hair from that bun and then push it towards your head. This creates a nice messy bun for school.

Well,

I think it would be cute if you dyed your hair an auburn brown and get lots of layers. Get bangs that are about as long as to the tip of your nose, and sidesweep them. Maybe, dye a one inch wide blonde streak on the bottom layer of your hair. I did it with purple a few months ago.

Nothing really fancy, but it would be cute !
